Ghostly Kisses

Ghostly Kisses is a dream-pop-electronic music duo. Founded in 2015 in Quebec City, the duo consists of Margaux Sauvé’s voice, composition ideas and violin skills, and Dragos Chiriac to production, composition, mixing and mastering.

The two musicians have classical background, Margaux to violin and Dragos to piano. Margaux learned the violin at the age of 5 and continued her studies at the Quebec Conservatory of Music. This is only a year before the release of "Ghostly Kisses" she discovers singing, which led her to lay her own compositions, before meeting Dragos. Composer and director, he is currently completing a doctorate in musicology (performance digital audio) at Laval University (LARC) where he specialized in mixing and mastering since 2012. Expanding a unique sound, the meeting with the musical intuition of Margaux was been a revelation. Their synergy creates Ghostly Kisses, a melancholic universe where it is difficult to be indifferent.

In may 2015, they launched their first single "Never Know", reaching the top 10 most viral Spotify songs in June on Spotify. Then, the duo released the single "Such Words" immediately shared by several music blogs such as Hilly Dilly, acid stag, Silent Shout, and others. The song is also included in Spotify list "New Music Friday" followed by more than 1 million subscribers. Six weeks after its release, the song has more than 500,000 plays. In January 2016, the duo was named as one of five Quebec artists that you absolutely need to know in 2016 by the 99scenes web site.
